We are a small but dedicated church of approximately 80-90 attendees. The Lord has blessed us with a body of believers who has many talents and people willing to use them. All people are welcome to attend our church from biker to banker, Asian to American, student to professional, and poor to rich. We have a strong desire for Bible-based teaching, practical application, and an active personal relationship with God. Our church leadership is a passionate, humble group of Godly men who set a tone of individual service to others without micro-managing them. As a result, practical needs and many types of pastoral care are carried out by church members. The giving of money, meals, car care, and other assistance are a daily occurrence. Prayer and fellowship are particularly strong within our church. Evangelism abroad is passionately valued, as our church has sent out both short-term and long-term missionaries. Within the community we are seen as a solid, Bible-based church where we are co-laborers with those from other like-minded churches, not competitors or rivals. This is demonstrated through our participation in three local ministries: Global Connections, the Bowling Green Pregnancy Center, and the Bowling Green Christian Academy.

Though we have many positive attributes, God has laid on our hearts areas for improvement, especially with local evangelism. In our community a number of potential areas of outreach exists including Bowling Green State University, neighborhoods of both wealth and poverty, and a large number of young children both in our church and the community. In addition, we greatly value discipleship and mentoring of new believers. We believe these areas of improvement are not necessarily the sole responsibilities of the pastor but of the church body as a whole. We are a church that desires to raise up co-laborers in Christ. As we continue to be sanctified in Christ, we hope to emulate Revelation’s Church of Philadelphia, who “kept my word and have not denied my name.” (Revelation 3:8)
